I’m no Ansel Adams or master photography by any means. But when I look at other scenes produced by people my age and it’s nothing but shitty snap shots with de-saturation and some radial blur added to some wedding photos passed of as “photography,” I get kind of irate. Especially if their “artistic photography” is just as shitty, if not worse.
I know a “photographer” that I went to high school with, who has been practicing at least 7 years longer than I and there is no improvement. NONE.
I don’t like to get this negative any more; especially about art. But come on…I get tired of these people being renowned photographers within their group when there is no push for greater form.
Call this a dickish rant, but I just get creatively competitive because I know I can do better. I’m not claiming to be right.
So I guess I’ll leave you with this blurry photo of a yellow songbird and some other goodies that I could have done a better job on.
